I use decorative artwork as an effective
tool to glorify, camouflage, unify different elements, and simulate
other materials. Walls, floors, ceilings and furniture can all
become canvases.
I live in the Bryan/College Station, Texas area and will travel based on the
job.
I bid by the job, though I am working on incorporating a tool on this website that will allow you to get a ballpark estimate by choosing a finish and describing the size of the walls or furniture to be painted. I prefer to bring furniture jobs to my studio, but can work on site.
I am artistic but am easy to relate to! I want you to be happy and satisfied with the end product. :-) (Colossians 3:23, Matthew 5:41)
I am honored to have many repeat customers, including private individuals,
interior decorators, and commercial clients.
Decorative artwork reflects the value of time; whether time is
presented as a distressed look to reflect age, or as appreciation
of the labor of the hand of man. These are the qualities that
have represented those things considered valuable from the beginning
of civilization.

Whether for furniture or walls, there are myriads
of possibilities when a can of paint is opened by an expert decorative
artist. One beautiful wall finish is the three color
wash. This is a flat effect; soft like suede. This wall
glazing can be done to produce the luxury of aged furniture or
an urban metropolitan effect.
When I paint furniture, my goal is to build good structure
for the room. Anything that screams, “Look at me, I'm
painted furniture”, is tacky. I want my painted furniture to delight the eye and the heart in a relaxing, comfortable way. I have a facile understanding of color and layered paint effects.

The charm of my rendered faux effects such as marbling
or wood graining comes from careful observation of the real thing.
Then, the painted application, in rich layered tones, steady and
restrained, balanced with movement and flash, creates that “fool
the eye” finish. For example, when rendered on walls, painted marble captures
a depth that softens a small space.
Ultimately, the craftsmanship of the decorative artist is paramount
in the use of faux effects. Tasteful use of these effects make
the most of the smallest details, such as decorative mouldings;
or transforms inexpensive furniture into amazing reflections of
their expensive counterparts.

This queen of old world finishes astounds the senses
in a hip new way. Color-impregnated acrylic plaster can provide either
a cool, creamy texture or a rough, sandy aggregate texture. Acrylic
plaster can be tinted practically any paint chip color, and the
variety of top coats available allows for a water-resistant finish.
Certain finishes can be painted over should that time come.
